Next weekend, Demopolis will have not just one, but two stage performances available. The Canebrake Players will perform the classic comedy “Arsenic and Old Lacae,” and the Demopolis High School drama team will perform the musical“Bye Bye Birdie.”

The Canebrake Players have offered to take $2 off of its admission price with anyone bringing a program from the DHS performance, a magnaimous way of encouraging people to see both performances during the weekend.

We applaud that effort and encourage people to do just that. It is a rare opportunity to see two dramatic performances and witness the talent that we have.
