Lady ‘finds’ Jesus in bathroom tile

Jewel Essex has lived in her Demopolis home for about five years but it wasn’t until last year that she noticed an unexpected architectural detail.
After four years of walking in and out of her master bathroom, Essex said something she had never noticed before suddenly became too obvious to overlook.
“I just looked down one day and I saw it,” she said. “The minute I saw it I knew exactly what it was.”
What “it” was, she continued, is the profile of a man Essex believes is Jesus emblazoned in one of the tiles on her bathroom floor.
“You can see the beard, the lips, the nose. It’s all so clear,” she said. “You can see the crown of thorns and you can even see a tear rolling down his cheek out of the corner of where his eye is.”
While it may be clear to her, Essex said, others struggle to find the image.
“My fiancé has lived in that house for 15 years and he’s never seen it,” she said. “I lived there four years and never saw it.”
Essex said she’s not mentioned her discovery to many people in the past year.
“I didn’t want people to think I’m crazy,” she laughed, “but (the image) is there. I see it so clearly. I think that’s a sign that from God letting me know that He is with us.”
