The City of Demopolis will hold a town hall meeting on Thursday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center. The meeting is an opportunity for the citizens of Demopolis to ask questions of city officials and to get information regarding the city’s actions.

“We’ll call the meeting to order, and we’ll talk about some general topics,” said Demopolis mayor Mike Grayson on Tuesday. “After that, we’ll just open it up for questions or comments, good, bad or ugly.”

Grayson said that he expected that most of the city council would be on hand.

“Department heads will also be there, in case we get into specifics that require more of an answer than I could give,” he said. “I hope it’s a good opportunity for us all to feel good about what we’re doing — where we are and where we’re going.”

Grayson said that this was the first town hall meeting during his tenure, and he would use the experience to better shape future town hall meetings.
