Questions sought for Superintendent interviews

The Demopolis Board of Education expects to interview seven candidates next week for the vacancy of Superintendent of Education.
Interim Superintendent Dr. Neil Hyche said the Board will conduct interviews beginning Wednesday and follow through Friday. They expect to ask each candidate approximately 20 questions but are turning to the community for aid.
“Last time, we asked the public to submit questions,” Hyche said. “We’re doing that again because the parents and teachers know what’s most important to them and they know what they want to know about the candidates.”
Hyche said the Board’s standard questions will cover the candidates’ education, background, qualifications and goals for the school system and that the questions submitted could be on any point of interest to those who send them in.
“All we ask is that they be appropriate and that they be on a topic or subject matter that is appropriate to the search,” Hyche said. “We’ll look at all the questions submitted and use as many as we can that are appropriate and that question will be asked of all the candidates.”
Questions should be sent via email to Lydia Randall at LRandall@demopoliscityschools.org. All emails should be sent no later than April 19.
