Post office stamping out hunger

Marengo County residents will have a special chance to help feed the hungry Saturday, while paying their power bill or mailing a late Mother’s Day card.
Local postal carriers will be picking up canned food Saturday, May 8. The drive is an annual event.
Non-perishable food, such as dry or canned goods, may be left in mailboxes for carriers to pick up.
All food will be kept local and donated locally.
More than a billon pounds of food have been collected since the carriers started the drive around 15 years ago.
