Dr. Johnna Baker, director of human resources and public relations for the Walker County Board of Education was to be the third interview today but called Linden Board of Education Chair Joyce Yeager to rescind her candidacy.

Yeager said she was informed of Baker’s decision shortly before noon Monday, after completing two of the four interviews scheduled for the first of a two-day interview session.

George Baldwin, director of Marengo County Technology Center in the Linden City Schools system was the first to interview. Randy Thomley, principal of Winfield Elementary School was the second and Dr. Rhinnie Scott, director of career technical education for the Greene County Board of Education, will conclude day one this afternoon.
