Foy A. Wright, age 88, of Demopolis died on June 15, 2010, at Infinity Hospice in Marion, Miss.
He was born on May 11, 1922, in Vina. He was a retired store owner, a World War II veteran and a member of Rangeline Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hettie Lee Wright of Demopolis; a son, Foy A. Wright Jr. of Demopolis; a daughter, Bernice W. Cork of Demopolis; a sister, Willie Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 17, at 10 a.m. at Rangeline Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Burial was at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the U.S. Army. O’Bryant Funeral Home of Linden directed the services.
Active pallbearers were C.J. Davis, Jason Turberville, Larry Turberville, Wes Henderson, Maurice Kahlmus and Henry McDonald. Honorary pallbearers were Eric Jones and Mike Cork.
