John Ruddell

John Frank Ruddell, age 80, of Demopolis died on June 11, 2010, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 22, 1930, in Tate, Ga., to John Leslie and Mattie Ingram Ruddell. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kate Begley and Evelyn Ruddell, and one brother, Broughton Ruddell.
Survivors include his wife, Doris “Faye” Averitt Ruddell of Demopolis; a daughter, Beverly Ruddell (Tom) Cansler of Austin, Texas; two sons, Gregory Ruddell of Miami, Fla., and Doyle Frank (Tonya) Ruddell of Demopolis; a sister, Dorothy (J.O.) Thomas of Ringgold, Ga.; a brother, Ford (Martha) Ruddell of Calhoun, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Morgan Isackes, Betsy Isackes, Preston Ruddell and Brandy Ruddell.
Graveside services were held on Monday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. The family received friends on Sunday, June 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directed the services.
Pallbearers will be Perry Kemp, Preston Ruddell, Fred Speed, Mark Thomas, Kelly Ruddell, Michael Averett and Gary Halsey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Friends of the Greene County Golf Course.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rangeline Baptist Church, 5805 County Road 19, Demopolis, AL 36732.
