Demopolis BOE makes personnel moves

Monday, the Demopolis City School Board approved the hiring of three teachers: Cynthia Benison as the business and marketing teacher at DMS, Blythe Martin as a science teacher at DMS and volleyball head coach at DHS and DMS, and Chris Tangle as the supervisor of transportation.
Brandi McGee and Todd Mathis will be softball assistant coaches, Matt Geohagen will be the defensive coordinator for DHS football, Cody Geohagen will coach DMS girls’ basketball and Wes Byler will be the softball head coach.
Superintendent Al Griffin added that a 10-point scale would be adopted in grading across the state, with A’s being a 90 to 100, B’s being 80 to 89, C’s being 70 to 79, D’s being 60 to 69 and F’s being below 60.
