Martha “Bodie” Jean Bozeman Turner, age 81, a resident of Columbiana, AL, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at a local hospital. Chapel service will be at 10 AM, Monday, August 9, 2010 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana, AL. Burial will follow at Columbiana, AL. Visitation will be Sunday, August 8, 2010, from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home

Mrs. Turner was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbiana. She graduated from Shelby County High School in 1947. She was retired from Jones Plumbing. Mrs. Turner was past President of the Demopolis Pilot Club and a member of the Columbiana Novella Club.

Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Robert L. Turner; parents, Luther T. Bozeman, past sheriff of Shelby County and Sybil Bozeman; brother, James Bozeman and sister, Lillie May Sims. Mrs. Turner is survived by her daughter, Tina Turner Johnson (Butch) of Shelby; son, Lamar Turner (Terrie) of Talladega; grandsons, Thomas James (T.J.) Turner (Dayna) of Odenville, Johnny Strickland of Birmingham, Kris Strickland (Kyla) of Talladega; granddaughters, Lane Turner Copeland (Russell) of Demopolis, Haley Johnson Irons (Daryl) of Trussville, Emily Johnson of Trussville; 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
