The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a “State of the City” breakfast at the Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital classroom on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 7 a.m.
The breakfast provides the citizens of Demopolis a chance to hear how the city is faring as it nears the end of Fiscal Year 2010 and other aspects of city life.
“We will be talking about where we are and where we are going,” said Demopolis mayor Mike Grayson. “There will be some financial information as well as updates to the progress of the city. We want to let folks know how we are doing as a municipality.
“I had originally scheduled a follow-up town hall meeting to the one that we had in April for Oct. 14, but this may just very well be the town hall meeting. I really don’t plan to have department heads there to answer specific questions, but if a person has a question, we will do our best to answer it.”
The “State of the City” breakfast is free and open to the public.
