Lillian Gill Stapleton, 76, of Uniontown passed away Sunday at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She is survived by sister and brother-in-law Jayne and Roy White, sisters Isabell Stapleton and Sue Stapleton and brother Harvey W. Stapleton, brother Johnny “Buddy” Gill, nephews Vernon Gill (Pat), Michael Gill and Kenny Gill, cousin Betty Jean Gill McMillan and many other special nieces and nephews. She was born April 7, 1934 in Perry County to the late James Vernon and Idell Anderson Gill. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Audrey David Stapleton, nephew Bobby Gill and brothers Lloyd and Howell Gill. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday at Rosemont Cemetery in Uniontown. Rev. Robert Walker will officiate.
