LINDEN – The Marengo County Sheriff’s Office has identified a body pulled from the Tombigbee River Friday morning near the Nanafalia Bridge.

Marengo County Sheriff Jesse Langley said the victim was Paula Winters,46, of Sweet Water.

Langley added that Winters was reportedly last seen Monday, Oct. 11.

The body, which Langley said was spotted by boaters navigating down the river, has been sent to Mobile for further examination and to determine the cause of death.
