Fruitdale High School has been fined $300 and placed on probation for one year for using an ineligible player on its football team.
The student participated in violation of the AHSAA Academic Rule. The violation was self-reported.
Football games were forfeited to Coffeeville, A.L. Johnson and Marengo high schools.
The probation is a warning that other violations of this nature could bring further sanctions against the school.
The forfeiture puts the Marengo Panthers back in the playoff hunt.
