LeRoy King Jones, III, 90, died Oct. 23 at Piemont Hospital in Rock Hill, S.C. Graveside services will be at Dayton Cemetery Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.

Mr Jones was born February 13, 1920 in Dayton, Alabama to LeRoy King Jones, Jr. and Louise Ogletree Jones. He was a longtime resident of Demopolis and retired from Borden’s Chemical Company. He was a World War II veteran. He enjoyed quail hunting and training his dogs and coached Little League for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marianne Skinner Jones. He is survived by his sisters Lucy Wynn Downey of Scottsboro, Dr. Mary Louise Mickler of Tuscaloosa, a son, LeRoy King Jones, IV of Dothan (wife, Gail Hill Jones), daughter, Lauren J. Waters of Rock Hill, S.C., grandchildren Adam Seale of Thomaston, Ryan King Jones of Atlanta and Jennifer Leigh Casey of Dothan, and several nieces and nephews.
