The public is invited to join the Demopolis City Board of Education at a Community Forum Session, Thursday, Jan. 20 at the Demopolis Civic Center. The session will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude no later than 8:30 p.m.
Demopolis City Schools Superintendent Dr. Al Griffin is leading the development of a Five Year Strategic Plan to guide the operations of the Demopolis City Schools. A strategic plan includes all stakeholders in establishing the mission, vision and operational strategies for improving student achievement (curriculum and instruction), facilities, technology, safety, finance and human resources.
“This community forum is designed to give students, parents, employees and community members an opportunity to discuss the future of our community and to take action to improve education for every student in the Demopolis City School System. Every person can make a difference,” said Griffin.
Following a brief overview presentation, participants will break into small discussion groups to share ideas about short and long-range plans to guide schools over the next five years.
For more information contact Dr. Griffin at the Demopolis City Board of Education (334) 289-1670.
