Ralph Henry “Skip: McNiell Jr., 58, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18 in Montgomery. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 22 at 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Demopolis (graveside service only) with Dr. Art Luckie officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6-8 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Henry McNeill Sr. He is survived by his wife, Kathy McNeill, mother, June N. Barnes (Thomas) of Demopolis, sons, Travis Newsome McNeill (Brittaney) of Carriere, Miss., Henry English McNeill of Montgomery, grandson, Tristan Newsome McNeill of Carrier, Miss., granddaughter Brianna Renea McNeill of Carriere, Miss., brothers Kim McNeill (Dianne) of Demopolis and Fred McNeill of Moundville, sister Teresa Dayna McNeill of Demopolis, three nephews, T.J. Turner, Walker McNeill and Carter McNeill, niece, Lane Copeland (Russell) of Demopolis, great nephew, John Robert Copleand of Demopolis and great niece, Kate Copeland of Demopolis. He was born Nov. 4, 1952 in Demopolis to June. N. Barnes and the late Ralph McNeill and was known as “The Critterman” due to his role with the Nuisance Wildlife Animal Control for the State of Alabama. Pallbearers will include Travis McNeill, T.J. Turner, Brian Tidwell, Roger Freeman, Russell Copeland and Walker McNeill.
