A Tuscaloosa County man was killed Sunday morning in a one car crash on Highway 25 in Southeast Marengo County.

Alabama State Troopers said Clinton Michael Gillespie, 31, of Coaling, was killed in a wreck at approximately 3 a.m. about four miles south of Dayton.

Gillespie was killed when his 2006 Toyota pickup left the roadway and hit a building.

The report said Gillespie’s vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 25 and rounded a curve at a high rate of speed before leaving the road.
