Nedra Franks will be the featured artist when Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital opens its Spring art exhibit this Sunday.
A native of Tuscaloosa, Franks said she developed a passion for creativity at an early age. Franks studied Interior Design at the University of Alabama and entered the labor force in furniture retail and decorating.
“I have always been an artist,” she said. “(I love) the excitement I receive of being free to create anything I wanted.”

“I’ve brought a variety of subjects,” she said. “I like all kinds of art. I have an eclectic style.”
The Exhibit opens April 3 with a reception at 1:30 in the hospital’s main hall.
