The arrest of two men on drug charges led Demopolis police on a brief foot chase.

Terrance James, 33, was arrested and charged with Distribution of Controlled Substance but while officers were attempting to arrest him, he attempted to flee on foot.

He was later arrested in the area of Blacks Drive and also charged with Possession of a controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana II, Eluding or Attempting to Elude the Police and Tampering with Physical Evidence. After Officers obtained a Search Warrant for his vehicle, officers found additional drugs which resulted in a Trafficking Cocaine charge.

Larry McIntosh, 56, was also charged with one count of Distribution of a Controlled Substance

Demopolis Police Chief of Police Tommie Reese “praised his officers for a job well done”.
