Polly Ann Pearson Haynes

Polly Ann Pearson Haynes, a native of Decatur, Miss. and a resident of Dmeopolis died May 2. Polly was an administrative assistant at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital for almost 30 years.
Polly was valedictorian of the graduatin class of 1955 of Decatur High School. She was captain of the girls basketball team, member of the track and field team and a very gifted athlete. She attended East Central Junior College and received an Associate degree of Liberal Arts in 1957. Polly was a resident of Demopolis since 1969 and was an active member of her church and community.
Upon her retirement, she took up bird watching as a hobby and enjoyed to watch and feed the birds native to our area.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Milliage Haynes of Demopolis. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Haynes Polansky of Mobile and Tracy Ann Deaver of Madison and her son, Jason Lamar (Rhonda) Haynes of Demopolis. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Seth Haynes Polansky of Mobile, Molly Franklin Deaver of Madison and Kinsey Blake Haynes of Demopolis. She will be deeply missed by all of her relatives and her many wonderful friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to our mother’s new friends and family at Hearthstone Assisted Living, Springhill Home Health and Hospice and Dr. Dan Polansky for all of their kindness and support shown to her while living in Mobile.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at noon at the First United Methodist Church of Demopolis.
A celebration of her life with food and fellowship will be held afterward at the Foscue House in Demopolis.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Demopolis, the American Cancer Society, The Audobon Society or a charity of your choice. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.
