BOE accepts Pate’s resignation
The Demopolis City Schools Board of Education accepted the resignation of middle school assistant principal Justin Pate Friday morning during a special called meeting.
Demopolis City Schools Superintendent Dr. Al Griffin declined comment and there were no details immediately available as to the reasons behind Pate’s resignation. Chris Tangle, assistant principal at Demopolis High School, will serve as assistant principal at DMS for the remainder of the year.
The board also voted to post an open custodian position at Westside Elementary School, a vacancy it previously voted to leave unfilled.
