Demopolis-based Robertson Banking Company has been once again recognized by US Banker magazine as one of the top Community Banks in the nation.
This year, Robertson Banking Company ranked 17 of the top 200 Community Banks based on a three year average return on equity. Their ranking is up this year from 21 in 2010 and 42 in 2009.
“As we have been for 141 years, Robertson Banking Company’s Board members, officers and employees are committed to bringing good service to our customers,” Robertson Banking Company’s President and CEO Al Garrett said. “We make every effort to bring the latest products available to our customers and in turn they are loyal to us. We appreciate being recognized by the State Banking Department and by U S Banker magazine and we strive to continue to be an integral part of the communities we serve.”
Along with the recognition from US Banker magazine, Robertson Banking Company was also acknowledged recently at a reception celebrating the Centennial anniversary of the State Banking Department. The State Banking Department was formed in 1911 and the reception recognized banks throughout the state that are still in operation that received original charters at its formation. Robertson Banking Company was one of 21 banks still in operation since 1911.
Robertson Banking Company was established in 1870 and now operates five locations in Demopolis, Linden, Thomaston, and Tuscaloosa.
