Moore doing a little more

We’ve opined before about the quality leadership that sets Demopolis far apart from its peers but Demopolis councilman Thomas Moore’s election as President of the Alabama League of Municipalities warrants a pat on the back.
Councilman Moore has put in a lot of his personal time toward learning how to better serve those in his district. Those efforts have put him in a position of leadership with those who share his goals and ideals.
Moore becomes only second League president from Alabama’s rural Black Belt and the first from Demopolis and Marengo County, which is no small accomplishment in itself.
We thank councilman Moore for the dedication he’s shown to educating himself about how to be the best and most effective representative for his district, and we thank him for the positive spotlight his appointment shines on Demopolis.
