Thomas Wayne Johnson, 70, of Linden died Aug. 1 at Druid City Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 3 at Dunning Cemetery at 2 p.m. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

Born June 20, 19141 in Marengo County to Vermelle Johnson Cranford and the late Thomas Jefferson Johnson, she is survived by her mother, Vermelle Cranford of Linden, wife Elizabeth Tucker Johnson of Linden, son Terry (Barbara) Johnson of Decatur, sisters Diane Patrick and Glenda Waldrop of Geneva, brother Don (Chantip) Johnson of Gulfport, Miss., grandchildren Tim (Amy) Johnson, Lori (Drew) Yates, Brooks Johnson all of Decatur, Wesley Ann (Steve) Terry of Pineapple, Ryan Pope of Auburn and Wade Bedsole of Gordo; Chasity (Jason) Broadhead of Linden, Megan (Bo) Pierce Of Decatur; as well as nine great grandchildren.
