LINDEN – Computer network upgrades at the Marengo County Courthouse will slow two offices Thursday.
The Marengo County Probate Judge’s Offices will close at noon Sept. 8 while server capacity is increased.
The Revenue Commissioners will remain open but records will only be accessible via books for approximately three hours.
“What we’re doing is creating more space on the servers for records, specifically for the Revenue Commissioner’s Office,” said Probate Judge Cindy Neilson.
“They’ll have to take the whole system offline to do the work.”
Revenue Commissioner Bo McAlpine said he expected to be back to business as usual by late Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.
