The Demopolis Police Department arrested a Missouri fugitive last week.

Timothy White, 36, was arrested on active warrants from the State of Missouri for Rape Second Degree and Sodomy Second Degree following a traffic stop Sept. 15 on Highway 80.

“Officer Wilson checked Mr. White’s information through NCIC as part of the traffic stop,” Demopolis chief of Police Tommie Reese said.

“It came back that he had active warrants and he was taken into custody.”

White was transported to the Marengo County Detention Center to await extradition to Missouri.
