James Earl Dozier

James Earl Dozier, age 83 of Hoover, AL died Saturday, September 24, 2011.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith S. Dozier; son, James E. Dozier, Jr.; parents, Johnnie S. and Lillie M. Dozier; and sister, Virginia D. Hinson.  Survivors include his wife, Faye S. Dozier; children, Nora D. Warner (Ed), N. Steven Dozier (Susan), Michael D. Dozier (Leah), Laurie J. Dozier, James R. Dozier (Sandra), Edith L. Dozier, Gayle D. Watts (Ronnie), Royce Trotman (Rick), Patti Thomas (Jimmy), Tom Jayne (Patti), and Paula Morgan (John);  siblings Walter Dozier, Eleanor D. Gardei, and Gene Dozier; 32 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.  Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks  that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
