Cecil Bruce “Shorty” York, 76, of Atlanta, Missouri passed away at his home on Monday October 24, 2011. Bruce was the son of Carlton “Casey” and Mary “Perry” York, born on April 11,1935 in Oxford, Florida. Graduate of

Wildwood High School. He was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginny” Pelot.

“Shorty” was a longtime Over the Road Truck Driver and previous Cattleman.

He enjoyed Horseback Riding, Beautiful Sunsets, Being with His Family, Hunting and Seeing the Country.

Survivors include his wife Virginia “Ginny” York. Two Sons; Kevin York and wife Sharon Houston, Texas; Larry York and Late wife Donna Mobile, Alabama. Two Daughters; LeeAnn Hawkins and husband Lon Middleburg, Florida; Lori Kemp and husband Max Macon, Missouri. Eleven Grandchildren; Michelle, Bobby,Kevin Wayne, Randie, Leslie, Kaleb, Casey, Ashlee, Alyssa, Marshall and Taylor. Five Great Grandchildren. One Brother; Lamar York and Special Friend Lee Ashville, North Carolina. One Sister; Vickie “York” Thompson and husband George Columbia, South Carolina. “Shorty” is preceded in death by his Parents and Brother Larry York.

Memorial Services will be held in Belleview, Florida at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus Macon, Missouri in memory of Cecil Bruce “Shorty” York.
