Dr. Thomas Jackson “Jack” Fowler, 78, of Marion, died Nov. 10 at his residence. Born Aug. 13, 1933 in Panola to the late Travis Emmett and Juanita Davidson Fowler, he is survived by his wife Ouida Maxine Drummond Fowler of Marion, daughters Jackie F. (Albert “Sparky”) Barkmann of The Woodlands, Texas and Janet F. Crook of Loganville, Ga., sons Jeffrey Thomas (Sandra) Fowler of Marion, sister Merle Fowler Lemley of Northport, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church in Marion with the Rev. John Nicholson officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing.
Burial will follow in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the church Sunday night from 5 to 7.
Pallbearers included Thomas J. Fowler II, Albert Barkmann, Albert Barkmann IV, Eric Barkmann, David Drummond and Jimmy Johnson Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers included Dr. Doug Halbrooks, Dr. William Shane Lee and the Faculty and Staff of Judson College.
