DPD seeking Marvin’s theft suspect

The Demopolis Police Department is currently searching for a man in regards to an incident of theft at Marvin’s Monday about 1 p.m.

Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese said video from the store showed a man taking cash from a desk in an unlocked office before turning his attention on a safe, also unlocked. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. Reese said the man would likely be charged with Theft I, which is a felony.
