Roger Dale Royals, 65, of Creola died Thursday, Jan. 19 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born Aug. 17, 1946 in Raleigh, Miss. Mr. Royals worked as a crane operator.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Glass of Creola, son, Scott Royals of Biloxi, Miss., brother, Thomas, Edward (Rita) Royals of Jackson, Miss., two sisters, Helen Grace Royals Frith of Raleigh, Miss. and Mary Kathryn Atwood of Russellville, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Melvin Royals and Mary Naomi Thornton Royals, two sisters, Ruth Leverta Royals Thompson and Patsy Lee Royals Freeman.

Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m with Rev. Harry Giles officiating. Burial was at Thomaston Cemetery in Thomaston.

Active Pallbearers were Perry Kearney, Floyd Ballard, Larry Coleman, Stan Glass, Dennis West, Bill Glass, Danny Kelsey and Paul Autrey.

Honorary Pallbearers were Melvin Freeman, Tommy Briceson, David Kelsey, Bruce Dyess, Todd Martin, Bret Martin, Garry Glass, Billy Keith, Butch Chestang and Dwain Glass.
