George Lawrence Kleiber, 79 of Gallion, died on Aug. 8 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 9, 1933, in Michigan to the late George and Claudia Brisky Kleiber. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Claudia Brisky Kleiber; and two daughters, Peggy Johnson and Patsy Greene.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sarah Lamb Kleiber; two daughters, Penny (Steve) Tidmore of Greensboro and Debbie (Ray) Barnes of Demopolis; three sons, Daniel Kleiber of Toledo, Ohio, George A. Klieber of Petersburg, Mich., and James Carl Kleiber of Petersburg, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchldren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 10 at 2 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with the Rev. Hank Atchison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-1:45 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers are the staff at Comfort Care Hospice and all of the medical doctors and nurses who have helped him throughout his illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gallion Baptist Church.
