Demopolis resident and professional angler Boyd Duckett earned a spot in the 2013 Bassmaster Classic with a first-place finish in the Ramada Championship on Oneida Lake in New York on Sunday, but he is still on a quest for a spot in another high-profile tournament.

Duckett is one of 89 pros vying for a berth in the Toyota Trucks All-Star Week bass fishing tournament in Decatur, Ill., on Sept. 20-23.

From Aug. 28 through Sept. 10, fans can go online to vote to fill the four remaining spots in the tournament. Eight other competitors have qualified by ranking highest in points during the season-long Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year race.

The All-Star event, to be televised on ESPN2, features 12 of the top anglers in professional bass fishing competing for $100,000 in prize money on lakes in or near Decatur, Ill.

If voted in, Duckett will compete in the All-Star Semifinal, to be held on Sept. 20-21, with all 12 qualifiers competing to weigh in the heaviest catches of bass. The top four from the preliminary rounds will move on to the Evan Williams Bourbon Championship on Sept. 22-23.
