Three people being questioned in Dixons Mills shooting

Three people are being questioned in connection to Sunday night’s fatal shooting in Dixons Mills, according to Marengo County Sheriff Ben Bates.

Kalion Gladney, 28, of the Yellow Bluff community, was shot while sitting in his car overnight or early Monday morning.

No charges have been filed in the shooting, but Bates said the sheriff’s office have three people that they are questioning.

Gladney’s car was parked at 4 Way Stop, a convenience store near the intersection of U.S. 43 and Alabama 10.

The shooting happened sometime around 1 a.m. and was called in by someone who came across the scene and dialed 911, Bates said.

Investigators believe Gladney was alone is his car, which had a back window shot out.

Marengo County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case. The Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office is also assisting with the case.
