Ella M. Ward

Ella M. Ward, 82, of Thomaston, died Thursday, Aug. 30 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1930, in Birmingham, and was a former seamstress with Vanity Fair and a member of the Thomaston Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emitt L. Ward, and son, Arvel Lee Ward.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell “Mickie” (Susie) Ward of Cullman; two daughters, Linda (Richard) Ferrell of Selma and Marilyn (John) Seale of Wetumpka; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Shoemake, the Rev. Randall Mims and the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating. Burial was at Thomaston Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Justin Ward, Greg Gwaltney, Christopher Ferrell, Dan Lambert, James Golden and Charlie Drury.
Honorary pallbearers were John Dial and Wade Sheffield.
