ChiLLy Fest quickly approaching
Linden’s annual ChiLLy Fest will be on Friday Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.
The carnival that was absent from the 2011 ChiLLy Fest will return this year. The carnival will run both days and into Saturday night.
Saturday morning, the annual run and walk will occur before the cook-off judging.
The judging for the cook-off will be at 11 a.m. Saturday and chili will be served to the public beginning at noon.
To enter the cook-off, there is a $30 entry fee. Anyone is welcome to enter. There will be first, second and third place prizes.
Saturday at 6:30 p.m., the parade will begin and is expected to reach downtown Linden around 7 p.m. There is no entry fee for the parade, and there are two rules — no cars and no 3-wheelers or 4-wheelers.
All of these events will occur around the Linden Fire Department and Linden Elementary School.
