‘Cars’ characters coming to COTR

Lightning McQueen and Mater will be Honorary Grand Marshalls for Christmas on the River.
Lightning McQueen and Mater from the Disney/Pixar movie “Cars” will be making a special guest appearance during the Christmas on the River parade.
They will be the Honorary Grand Marshals for Christmas on the River. Diane Brooker said she is excited to have them in the parade this year.
“I am so excited to have them in our parade,” she said. “We wanted something for the children, and I feel these two famous cars really tie in with the Alabama Gang.”
The Alabama Gang are the Grand Marshals for the parade, and the parade will start at 11:30 a.m. in downtown Demopolis.
