Maggie G. Spiller of Demopolis was recently recognized by the University of Montevallo as a recipient of Highest Honors and the Montevallo Ambassador Program Scholarship.

Highest Honors are accorded to full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 12 semester hours at the University of Montevallo and whose cumulative University of Montevallo grade-point average is 3.80 or better.

The scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen based on high school GPA, an ACT score of 30 or above and an interview.

Spiller was also recognized as an initiate into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national society that honors the academic excellence of freshman students.
