Ola Mae Stephens

Ola Mae Stephens, 83, died Friday, Nov. 23 at DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa.

She was born May 16, 1929, in Pickens County to the late Milton V. and Wannie Mae Winston Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton V. and Wannie Mae Winston Mills; her sisters, Mittie Sue Mills and Lois Mills; her brother, Woodrow Mills; her first husband, Lloyd E. Wilson; grandchildren, Michael Malone and Greg Lashley; great-grandchild, Leah Malone; and step-son Cecil A. Stephens Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil Stephens; daughters, Betty McCaa of Eutaw, Bessie (Herb) Malone of Gulf Shores, Karen (Alan) Lashley of Demopolis, Linda (Charlie) Glass of Demopolis and Dorothy (Gary) McGalliard of Eutaw; grandchildren, Leslie (Dennis) Drummond, Billy Ivy, Bobby McCaa, Jessica (Michael) Newton, Beth Lashley, Angie (James) Solliday, Jaimee (Neil) Bules, Regan Blair, Lynn Hollongsworth, Georgiana Barnett, Mark Stephens and Becky Fortner; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Betts and the Rev. Tommy Carr officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

The family received friends at the church one hour prior to service time. Burial followed at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw.

Pallbearers were James Solliday, Dennis Drummond, Michael Newton, Neil Bules, Billy Ivy and Bobby McCaa.

Honorary pallbearers were Southern Care Hospice, Pam Kennard and Glendora Anderson.
