LIVINGSTON – Twenty-one student athletes from eight different sports were awarded their baccalaureate degrees Saturday at the University of West Alabama Graduation Exercises at Pruitt Hall.
Of the eight sports represented, football led the way with seven players being awarded degrees Saturday, including Kendrick Office, who returned to finish his degree at age 34 following a professional football career. Women’s basketball, cross country and softball followed with three each.
“We are proud of these Tiger student-athletes and the commitment they made toward being not only the best they can be on the field or court, but more importantly in the classroom,” UWA Director of Athletics Stan Williamson said. “They have completed one journey and are now taking on new and exciting challenges in their lives and we wish them well.”
