The Demopolis Tigers faced the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors in the second round of the Southeast Alabama Christmas Tournament.
The Tigers defeated the Warriors 58-47 Friday afternoon. Cortez Lewis dropped in 16 points, Tommy Wilson added 14 points and Roderick Davis added 11.
The Tigers led 18-11 after the first quarter and 34-20 at halftime.
Demopolis head coach Rodney Jackson feels like his team is playing well at this point in the season.
“This is the third game in a row – Thomasville, Murphy and now Cottage Hill – that we have played a good game,” he said. “We played pretty good tonight and kept a 10 to 15 point lead throughout the game. I feel good about us right now. We are shooting well and executing the way we should.”
The win moves the Tigers to 4-6 on the season. Their final game of the tournament will be against the winner of Friday night’s game between Clarke County and Dothan High School.
They will play that game Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
