Huey Cassity

Huey Cassity, 80, of Linden died Monday, Dec. 24 at DCH Regional Medical Center. He was born April 24, 1932, in Thomasville. Cassity was a former paper maker with Gulf States Paper Mill. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church and A U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by wife, Ted Elizabeth Cassity of Linden; daughter, Jackie Davis of Gallion; daughter, Cindy Malone of Demopolis; daughter Pam Gibbs of Linden; son, Danny Cassity of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Providence Baptist Church on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Warren Huggins officiated. Burial was at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallion.
Active pallbearers were Chris Gibbs, Daniel Davis, Tim Cassity, Drew Tucker, Matt Hansard, Hunter Yelverton, Jacob Davidson and Ethan Biggs.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Marengo Nursing Home, the staff of Southern Care Hospice, employees of Gulf States Paper Co., and Dr. Charles Gross.
