Marengo County native places in state DYW categories

Nolie Ramsey received the award for Top 5 in the Scholastics category from Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey and 2012 Alabama DYW Scarlett Walker.
The Distinguished Young Women of Alabama program was held Jan. 18-19.
Nolie Ramsey represented Marengo County after winning the county program in September. At the state program, Nolie placed in the top five in the talent and scholastics categories and also was a winner in the Best Your Best Self essay portion of the program. She was awarded scholarships totaling $2,000.
