Demopolis Water Works will stop sending out late notices after the March billing cycle because they are changing the way they send out notices.

Manager David Zipparo said they are switching from sending out the cards as bills to sending out a full-page bill in an envelope.

“The full-page bill allows us to put a lot more information on it than the cards do for about the same price,” Zipparo said. “We will send out late notices one more time for the March bills, but that will stop in April.”

Water bills are sent out on the 25th of each month, and are due by the 10th of the next month. A penalty is added to all unpaid bills on the 11th, and the cut-off date for all unpaid accounts is the 21st of the month.

Zipparo added that it will be easier for them to send out announcements as well, because they can put it as an insert with the bill.
