The Alabama Sports Writers Association released their second baseball and softball rankings of the season, and two Marengo County teams cracked the top 10 in their respective classes.

The Demopolis High School baseball team (10-2) has climbed to the No. 9 spot in the Class 5A rankings.

In the softball rankings, the three-time defending champion Marengo Academy Lady Longhorns (11-0) are No. 1 in the AISA rankings.

Demopolis baseball’s next game is Saturday, March 16 at St. James in Montgomery.

Marengo Academy softball’s next game is Friday, March 15 at Patrician Academy.
