Chief Reese reaches high mark

Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese has reached the highest level of achievement that is awarded through the Certified Law Enforcement Executive Program by completing 240 hours of training in the program.

“On behalf of the University Partnership for Alabama Continuing Education and the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police, I take great pleasure in announcing that Chief Tommie J. Reese has completed 240 hours of training in the Certified Law Enforcement Executive Program. This is the highest level of achievement that is awarded through this program,” said Belinda Blackburn, director of Continuing Education at Jacksonville State University and UPACE partner.

Reese is among an elite group of chiefs in the state who have successfully completed the curriculum and has been certified by the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police.

He received the certification and recognition at the annual Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in Montgomery on Jan. 31.
