LIVINGSTON – Salvaging a 6-5 mark through a span that saw the Tigers play nine of 11 games on the road over the last two weeks, the University of West Alabama softball team remained in the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association poll, dropping three spots to No. 21.

The Tigers, 20-10, are one of three Gulf South Conference teams ranked in the NFCA poll. Defending NCAA Division II national champion Valdosta State is ranked third and North Alabama holds the No. 23 spot.

Coming off a doubleheader sweep of Miles College on Tuesday where the Tigers scored 40 runs and belted six home runs, West Alabama travels to Alabama-Huntsville for a double dip on Saturday and then to Tuskegee for two more games on Monday.
