On Tuesday, June 4, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host a “Guide to Grants” workshop in Demopolis at the University of West Alabama’s Higher Education Center from 9 a.m. to noon.
The focus of the grant workshop is to provide information on how to find resources for economic development. The workshop is a free resource for finding grant opportunities in the 7th Congressional District. Attendees will hear from various entities that provide grants and receive tips on effective grant writing.
“I am truly excited to offer this grant writing workshop to my constituents,” Sewell said. “I believe the workshop augments the information provided in the weekly Guide to Grants. It is my sincere hope that the attendees will find invaluable opportunities and gain a wealth of knowledge from taking part in this event.”
The workshop is a part of a series of seminars on grants that will be conducted throughout the 7th Congressional District. Those interested must pre-register by May 31. To register, participants should contact the Selma District Office at (334) 877-4414.
