Joe Lester Ulmer, 63, died Monday, June 17 at his home in Demopolis.

He was born May 17, 1950, in Demopolis to Edward Warham Ulmer Sr. and Ella Lucille Dunn. He worked as a teacher.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Warham Ulmer Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Boggins Ulmer; daughter, Valarie Kae Ulmer of Demopolis; and son, Joseph Edward Ulmer of Birmingham.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Demopolis with the Rev. John David Barnes officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort Care Hospice and the Demopolis Food Bank.
